On Friday May 25th, Glenmore athletes travelled to Blackrock Beach Races and we all basked in a great evening’s entertainment.
First up were Darragh Brady and Ciaran Flynn who came 3rd and 4th in the boys U16 race. Zoe White came home first in the girls U8, followed by Gillian Touhy 3rd, and Aoife Mc Donald. Girls U10 were led home by Katie Mc Donald, followed by Emma Mc Carragher, Jessica White, Ruby Steeples and Sophie Cummiskey. Boys U10 were represented by Craig Touhy, Elliot Nichols, Oisin Mc Coy and PJ Menary. Ava Ashby ran a great race U12 just missing out on a medal and was closely followed by team mates Lucy White, Chloe McCarragher, Mia Ashby, Ellen Callan, Sarah Mallon & Megan Steeples. The boys U12 were represented by Cormac mc Coy. Lisa Conlon and Emily Touhy represented the girls U14. The evening finished with an adults relay with Lloyd Byrne, Tony Ashby, Lee Nichols and Gavin White impressing our younger members with their stoic performance. Well done to all!

Several Glenmore athletes did the scenic Warrenpoint 10km on the bay on Sunday 21st, well done to Tadhg Leahy, Rose White, Joan Farnon, Paddy Gill and Vicky Leahy .
All seniors are in preparation for our annual Glenmore challenge 10miler on Saturday 10th June. We are looking forward to welcoming athletes from north and south of the border to the land of the wooden medals! This year we also have 040, 50 and 60 categories and a special online offer of 15 Euro per person if you register in groups of 5 or more.
