Louth Awards 2015

The annual Louth athletics awards took place in the Westcourt Hotel, Drogheda on Saturday night with approx. 300 athletes, parents, & coaches. Glenmore would like to congratulate the following athletes who were nominated & received certificates congratulating them for their stalwart performances in both Track & Field and Cross Country over the past year: Dualta O’Neill, Lucy White, Fionn O’Reilly, Lisa Conlon, Anna McArdle, Ciara Quinn, Niall Brady, Paul McGlynn, Maria Digny , Hannah Stewart & Tadhg Leahy. Congrats also to Katelyn Quinn , overall winner of the Track & Field U15/16 category. A special thanks to coaches & mentors for their dedication over the past year. Congrats also to Brian McCloskey, senior athlete of the year & Georgina Drumm on her European award for womens contribution to athletics.

That Saturday morning senior & Fit for Life athletes participated in our annual Christmas breakfast run with three different routes from the Greenway 5km to the forest trail & the Pudding run , 16 windswept but exhilarated members proceeded to enjoy a hearty breakfast! A belated congrats to Gerry Stewart and Stephen O’Connor for competing in the Tollymore half and full marathons.
