BushFormation Up & Running

On Saturday the 20th December Tadhg Leahy, Joan Farnan and Vicky Leahy competed in the second Born to Run Forest trail in the scenic Tollymore Forest Park. Whilst Thomas McCann came home 2nd in the annual Pudding Run in Carlingford with other members Fiona Finan, Rose White, Kinga Byrne, Anne McEvoy , Gabrielle Hanlon,.Tony Mulligan, Patrick White, John Kane, Paul Savage , Gerry Stewart, Ali McEnhill, Fionne Lynch, Karen May, Linda Mullin, Gerry McAlinden , Paul Flanagan & Deirdre Woods also braving the mountain trail. Gerry Stewart also did the Lap of Camlough lake on the Sunday after the pudding run.

St Stephens Day saw a great crowd attend “Mile for Goal” at Bush Track despite adverse weather conditions. A sincere thanks to all who supported it, we raised 1,007.60 Euros.

On New Years Day Paul Savage & John Kane braved the Up & Over mountain run.

Rose White, Joan Farnan, Anne McEvoy, Laura Hoey & Vicky Leahy competed in the 10km forest run in Kilbroney Park on Saturday, 3rd January. Though a tough and hilly course the ladies were thrilled to complete the first 10km of the New Year.

The year for Glenmore AC will start with a bang with Juvenile training recommencing on Tuesday 6th January & senior training on Monday 5th whilst Wednesday the 7th of January 7-8pm, Gym, Bush School kicks off the second year of Bush Formation. This will run from Monday 12th January for 6 weeks at a cost of 50 Euro. Why not avail of one of the many fitness classes, strength & conditioning, Zumba , walk/jog/run amongst others?
