Get moving with Operation Bush4mation 2016
|As Christmas fast approaches and we get stuck into the mince pies, Christmas parties and selection boxes, fear not, as Operation Bush4mation has you covered to get 2016 off to a healthy start. This is a joint fundraising initiative between Bush Post Primary School and Glenmore AC. Entering into its 3rd year, the organisers of this highly successful community initiative are excited to bring some new elements to our 2016 venture to add to some of the tried and tested classes from previous years. The programme commences on January 4th 2016 and runs for 6 weeks, offering a broad range of classes to suit people of all levels of fitness who are over 18 years.
Some of the choices on offer include a 0-5K, 5-10K and walking sessions on the floodlit, all-weather running track, Pilates, Zumba, ‘Core n More’, ‘Fitness Infusion’ and Total Body Conditioning. We make use of our stunning surroundings in the beautiful Cooley Peninsula and offer a weekly, guided walk on Sunday mornings at 8am setting off from a different point every week. New to this year’s programme is a weekly, nutritional workshop delivered by a Dietitian.
Whether you want to turn that long-held idea to run 5km into a reality, or you want to take the opportunity to try a new class that otherwise you might not chance or you want to get out and meet some new friends in a fun-filled, sociable environment, why not come along and register! Operation Bush4mation is all about health gain and many success stories have emerged over the years, where people re-discovered the joy of being physically active and have kept this going well beyond the 6 weeks.
The cost of the programme is €60 if you register on 4th January 2016. However, if you register before Christmas, we are offering a reduced price of €50. There is a registration evening before Christmas on Thursday 17th December 7pm at the school gym in Bush Post Primary School. This is exceptional value as you have something to choose from 7 days a week morning and evening for the 6 weeks.
