Community Games and Cooley Coast Run

On a gorgeous, summer’s evening, the local community games were held at the Bush Track on Thursday May 15^th.  Congratulations to all the children who took part.  Those who qualified will now proceed onto the County Finals in The Lourdes Stadium, Drogheda on Sunday 8^th June.  The All-Ireland Community Games Finals will be held on 22/24^th August 2014.

Over 40 Glenmore Fit 4 Life athletes and several juveniles were out in force for the 10km and 12.5 km Cooley Coast run on Friday May 16^th. All participants, both runners and walkers, enjoyed the well-organised run around the peninsula on a beautiful balmy evening with loads of supporters urging us on. It set the scene for our own Glenmore Challenge 10 mile race coming up on June 14^th & brought it home to us what a splendid area we live in!

Training continues on Tuesday and Thursday nights 7-8pm for our juvenile athletes.  Our ever-growing Fit4Life group meet at the track every Monday & Wednesday 7-8pm and on Sunday mornings for a mountain walk.
