Glaslough Road Races 2020
|The sun shone down on the picturesque village of Glaslough, Co. Monaghan on Sunday morning as Glaslough Harriers hosted juvenile road races to celebrate 40 years of their club. A small contingent of 7 athletes made the hour long journey from the Cooley Peninsula to Glaslough where they were rewarded with a warm welcome and some top 10 finisher medals. Lexi McDermott was first across the finish line in the girls u10 400m for Glenmore followed by Niamh Cranny, both girls ran well albeit outside the medals. In the boys u10 race Ethan Nichols did well to pick himself up from a fall at the finish line to finish in 11thplace. He was closely followed home by Jonah Moore in what was a very hilly close. Sarah Duffy, Molly Anne Moore & Gillian Tuohy all represented Glenmore AC in a very competitive girls u12 800m. Sarah Duffy lead the girls home in 6thplace with Molly Anne Moore in 8th place with both girls picking up medals. Gillian Tuohy ran a great race out of age but finished outside the medals. Well done to all athletes.
