Glenmore report 13th November 2017
|It was a busy weekend for Glenmore AC. On Friday night the annual quiz took place at Fergusons Bar in Gyles Quay. Thanks to all who participated on the night, Fergusons Bar for hosting the event and their kind donation to the club, Tommy McCann the quizmaster, Tony Loughran for setting the questions, sponsors of the raffle prizes: Cooley whisky distillery, Castletown Pharmacy, Liberty Cafe, Molly Mays gift shop , Station House Cafe, McArdle Meats, Cooley men’s shed, Candyford Sweet shop, Seamus Murphy service station.
Congrats to Tadhg Leahy who came 3rd in Tollymore Forest Trail run 10km and Sarah Dooney (on her first half marathon), Joan Farnon and Vicky Leahy on completing the very hilly Tollymore Forest Trail half marathon on Saturday.
Whilst on Sunday Ronan Callan & Michael McShane ran the Slieve Gullion 10 km.
Congrats also to the juveniles who travelled to Adamstown, Co Wexford for the Lenister uneven cross country event, James Dunne, Ava Brady, Lisa Conlon, Claudia Mullen, Ava Ashby, Zofia Mullen, Anna Mc Ardle, Blaithnaid Murphy,Nicole Barry and Anna Mai Mullen. Well done to all. Good luck to our athletes at the Louth Awards night on Friday next, November 17th.
