Glenmore Report 17th April 2017

It was a busy bank holiday for Glenmore AC juvenile’s with green shirts turning out in force for the Mountpleasant Road Races.
First up was the girls U10 600M, Jessica White led her team home taking 5th place, followed by Emma McCarragher, Katie Mc Donald, Minna Lennon, Aine Reilly and Ella Connolly. Criaig Touhy was first boy home in the same event with Elliot Nichols, Cian Magee and Josh Mc Ateer hot on his heels.
In the Girls U12 800M Lucy White took 4th place with Chloe Mc Carragher, Sarah Mallon, Ellen Callan and Aoife Magee following in a fast paced race. Fionn Reilly, Sean Holland & Aaron Hanratty competed strongly in the boys event.
Lisa Conlon and Ava Brady ran the U14 1200m event finishing 4th and 7th respectively
The Juvenile event finished with U8 event, Zoe White, Gillian Touhy and Adam Mc Ateer stormed home all claiming medals.
Well done to all our athletes and supporters. Next weekend is the pre Louth Championships in the Lourdes Stadium, Drogheda when the track & field season kicks off! Juvenile training continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays at bush track.
In the 5km event Taghg Leahy led the Glenmore contingent coming home, followed by Gavin White, Katie Mallon, 3rd Junior Lady, and Lee Nichols. All are now motivated towards the Glenmore Challenge on June 10th. Please click here for further details and registration link.
