Glenmore report – 18th March 2018
On Sunday Lucy White represented Glenmore AC in the 2018 National Juvenile indoor championship in the AIT International Arena having claimed the Lenister U13 60m title earlier this year. Lucy had a fine run in her heat finishing second to qualify for the U13 final. With another fine display she missed out on the medals crossing the line in 6th place amongst the best in the country.
Training continues on Tuesday and Thursdays at 7pm at the track in preparation for the Louth pre championships in April.
Congratulations to Paddy White and Kevin Mc Donald who braved the chilly winds on St Patricks Day morning to represent Glenmore AC at the annual Pat Gogarty 5k run that took place in Jenkinstown Forest Trail.
Meanwhile Glenmore AC set the pace from the Bush to the Cooley complex for the extremely well supported first Cooley St Patrick’s Day Parade. A big thank you to all involved for organizing a fantastic community day out.
Glenmore AC athletes challenged themselves by incorporating ‘The Glenmore Challenge 10m + 10k road race’ route in to their snowy weekend training run! This event is taking place on 9th June 2018.. Follow on Glenmore Challenge Facebook page and twitter @GlenmoreAC
