Glenmore report 26th June 2017
It was another busy weekend for Glenmore athletes. On Saturday last our U10 girls competed in the All Ireland U9-11 pairs and relays competition in Tullamore. The U10 girls 4×100 relay team of Grace Keenan, Katie Mc Donald, Emma Mc Carragher, Jessica White and sub Ella Connolly, ran very strong to qualify through the heats to the final. They finished 4th and did themselves proud. Katie Mc Donald and Emma Mc Carragher also competed in the U10 Javelin pairs.
Congrats also to Llyod Byrne, Kinga Byrne and Tony Ashby all of whom ran well at the Drogheda midsummer 5km. And of course to sisters Mia and Eva Ashby who came home 1st and 2nd female juveniles. Well done to Fona Mc Quade who completed her first marathon in Waterford at the weekend and to Barry Woods who completed the Waterford half marathon.
