Glenmore AC members have been busy since the start of the New Year. Juveniles are training Tuesdays and Thursdays in preparation for the final few Cross Country events of the season. The next event is Blackrock AC cross country races from U7 to U19 at 12 sharp in Geraldines GAA grounds on Sunday the 26th January. We would ask all athletes to make an effort to compete & to support their team.
The Fit for Life athletes were out in force on January 18that Gosford Park in the 10km Born to run event. Amidst muck, rain and forest trails the following 8 athletes competed: Stephen O’Connor, Karen Neary, Kinga Slabkowska, Gerry Stewart, Anne McEvoy, Joan Farnon, Rose White and Vicky Leahy. Fit for Life sessions are every Monday from 8-9pm and Wednesday 7-8pm. These coincide with the Bush4mation walk/jog/run sessions for the next 6 weeks. The track is also open every Saturday and Sunday from 8-9am. Congrats to all the participants in OperationBush4mation, there are great numbers participating in all classes including those 25 brave souls who hit the track on Tuesday morning at 6.30am and the hardy individuals who climbed the mountain on Sunday morning.
Our AGM will be held on Tuesday 21st January 7pm in Bush Gym. Please bring any outstanding registration forms. We would invite all registered adult club members to participate at the AGM; this is your club and needs involvement from all.
